Tis the season!

Winter is in full swing and the holidays are, too. Here’s a few helpful reminders for a safe & merry holiday for the whole family.

Holiday plants & decor

Holiday décor is beautiful… and very tempting to pets. Watch out for tinsel, lilies, chocolate, and those dangling ornaments! Poinsettias are not deadly, but they can be toxic enough to cause mild symptons if ingested.

Winter weather

While the term “if you’re cold, they’re cold” doesn’t apply to every pet (hello, Malamutes!), it’s a good rule of thumb to keep in mind. Always check the temps when keeping a pet outside for an extended period of time.

Protect the paws

Ice, salt, and chemical de-icers can irritate paw pads and be dangerous when ingested. It’s a good habit to always wipe paws after walks or consider booties or paw balm.
